A formal Harrow Town Centre BID Company was established in 2009 to promote the BID. However, following consultation with multiples and the withdrawal of support from a major occupier in the town centre due to the credit crunch, the BID Board decided to postpone the vote from July 2009. The BID Board has recently met and are looking at a revised BID timetable ending in a vote in early 2011. Due to contacts and projects developed during the Business Plan development, the BID Board will continue to meet to progress projects to increase the profile of the Company. The local authority will continue to facilitate the process.
