5. Visioning exercise

Has the partnership undertaken a visioning exercise to consider the way forward, and to develop indicative BID Business Plan objectives?

Up to 18 months before ballot

Bring all of the stakeholders together for a roundtable brainstorming session about:

the issues
- Is anyone against the BID idea?
- Is the local authority supportive and proactive?
the main objectives
- Will the BID offer ‘Clean and Green’ services, be a ‘One Stop Shop’, be a promoter for the area?
the way forward
- Is there a good staff team in place?
- Who will be responsible for driving it forward?
- Have appropriate contacts been identified within the local authority?
the timing
- How long will current funding last? It takes one to two years to develop a BID. If current funding will not last that long consider where other funding might be sought
