Have the details of issuing of BID levy bills and transfer of funds been agreed?
The month before and after ballot result
Bring all of the stakeholders together for a roundtable brainstorming session about:
  • the issues
    • Is anyone against the BID idea?
    • Is the local authority supportive and proactive?
  • the main objectives
    • Will the BID offer ‘Clean and Green’ services, be a ‘One Stop Shop’, be a promoter for the area?
  • the way forward
    • Is there a good staff team in place?
    • Who will be responsible for driving it forward?
    • Have appropriate contacts been identified within the local authority?
  • the timing
    • How long will current funding last? It takes one to two years to develop a BID. If current funding will not last that long consider where other funding might be sought
